Question about safari as well as recording on the Mac

Hi all,
In the Safari preferences I found an option that let me use tab to move through 
links and other elemts on a webpage. However, when this is turned on I have 
problems with VoiceOver, cant seem to be able to navigate the webpage as when 
it is turned off. I just want to be able to navigate a webpage more quicker 
than just line by line.
I know that this has been discussed before, but i am looking for a VO friendly 
recording program that can save in .wav. Any ideas?
