Hi everyone. Another way to do this is to select create image from
folder which is under the new submenu of the file menu of disk
utility. I've been making periodic backups of my library folder, and
that's how I've been doing it.

To burn the address book to CD:
Open Disk Utility
Click the New Image button and type in the name for the CD, e.g.
Address book backup
Press Return
When processing is finished, navigate to Sidebar and click on the
newly created DMG file that should be there
Hide Disk Utility
Open the Library folder inside your Home folder
Inside that is a folder called Application Support
Inside that is a folder called Address Book
Highlight it, copy it
Flip to Desk top
Highlight the DMG that should be there
Open it and paste in the Address Book folder.
Burn this as usual.
