Ok I will try this suggestion. I did check the page orientation box but I will also check the deskewing one as well. Thanks.

i get an epson dialogue too, just press enter when that comes up and it should work. also, check the deskewing automatically checkbox in setting menu and page orientation as well. once you ahve done these 2 things your results will improve. i think you can set it, according to justin to not do automatic OCR, and just not delete each immage when u recognize a new page, therefore keeping them all in memory, i ahven't tried this myself though
