Speaking of useless and redundant key commands, how do the folks who say that JAWS alone has redundant key commands explain the two menu commands on the mac. vo m, and ctrl f2. What is the point of the vo commands here? Or vo m twice for the status bar. Why not just use ctrl f8?

Actually, I completely followed this line of thinking, as some might remember me posting on it a year or so ago. However, I now believe these commands, despite their apparent redundency, are actually important. This only comes into play on MacBook keyboards, however. I've found that while using a MacBook, Control+F2 is considerably more cumbersome than on a traditional Mac desktop keyboard, due in part to the single control key on the MacBook. Having the VO+M key all but directly under your fingertips improves productivity quite a bit on this platform, IMO. I still use the traditional Control+F2 and Control+F8 keys on my Mac Mini, however, as overall I prefer them, and old habbits die hard.
