Hi Kevin,
You asked:
1. Which keyboard do you recommend that works well with macbooks
I really don't know how to answer your question here in that I
was not aware there was a difference in bluetooth keyboards
according to machine. However when talking to the customer
service person I'm sure they will direct you to the right
keyboard for your machine, if indeed there is a difference.
2. Is
there an apple pro bluetooth keyboard that will have the command
and
option keys in the right place?
I have never seen an Apple keyboard, bluetooth or other, with the
keys in any different configuration than where they have always
been.
Hope this helps.
Cheryl

Hi Kevin,
I have a bluetooth keyboard that I use with my Mac Mini and I
absolutely love it! There is pairing that needs to take place
when
you set it up, but that is doble. I love the portability it
allows
me; I can sit at my dining room table or in my living room, two
rooms over, and interact with my computer. If I were you, I
wouldn't mess with remapping keys, but instead spend the $55 or
so
dollars and get a new keyboard.
Best wishes,
Cheryl

Hey folks. I've got a windows wireless keyboard that I like to
use
with this Mac book. However, as you all know, the command and
option
keys are switched around. Is there any way to remap these keys,
or
should I just bite the big one and buy a bluetooth keyboard.
Any
You should not buy a bluetooth keyboard. I just had mine
replaced with a
USB keyboard because all wireless keyboards are not reliable as
far as I
can gather. A lot of them require Windows software to pair
correctly and
not using bluetooth is silly since the infrared ones are
line-of-sight
which is no good. Never mind that they have limited range. I
never did get
my bluetooth keyboard that I just had replaced to work with the
OS X box
or the Linux boxes that I have. So, I cannot recommend wireless
myself. I
got a lot of extra letters or dropped letters and general
unresponsiveness
and it was not fun. I'm currently using a Saitek Eclipse II
which feels
much like the clicky keyboards but is USB and very quiet. I
could figure
out how to remap keys easily enough if you're interested. That
is what
I think you should do.
