reading spanish in braille on the mac

Hello all

I am taking a spanish class and am having trouble not being able to  
access any of the material in braille.  I was telling my friend how  
it is hard for me to keep up with a synthesizer at times, when I  
remembered Josh mentioning on the screenlessswitchers podcast that it  
offers terminal braille support.  I got an idea that maybe i could do  
a "cat" command and dump the text of these files into terminal  
windows where I could read them on my alva braille display.  Does  
anyone know if this would work?  Where could I get my hands on that  
terminal support?
