Let me re-track something. I can right click, but say in spell
checker it does not give me a list of words to choose from. In trying
to change a doc file to a RTF file right clicking doesn't give me the
open with option. Thanks

One last question, Shaun:
Can you use the trackpad clicker instead of a mouse? I can
use that on my laptop, and it also worked on the MacBook I
set up. But on the MacBook Pro the trackpad is farther away
from where your hands normally rest for the keypad, so I
think that's less convenient unless you have large hands.
I think I'm out of ideas.

Thanks, all of the check boxes are checked.
It sounds as though you should be able to use
VO-keys shift space bar to click. That relies on
having
Mouse cursor tracks VoiceOver Cursor
checked although, as Dan said, some people
have had trouble with this combination.
Some people uncheck "VoiceOver Cursor tracks Mouse
Cursor" because, in case they have a mouse attached
and accidentally move it, the VoiceOver Cursor location
will also move unpredictably.
With these settings do you still have problems
clicking? The only instances where I've had problems
with this (on a PowerBook and also on a
recent Intel MacBook) is when the item I try to click
on is actually off the screen. That's rarely the case.
