Steps to do a clean install of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

Hi folks,

Could someone please give me instructions on how to do a clan install  
of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, along with how to do a complete  erase, not  
just the quick one that is offered. Am I right in thinking that when  
I insert the Leopard disc I can access all of this from the disc  
Utility once the disc has booted?
