How are people installing Leopard

Hi folks,

Sorry for the constant barrage of questions, but this is my first  
upgrade. How are people installing Leopard? I was thinking that I'd  
do a completely fresh installation, but I think i remember reading  
that Leopard was using a new filing system. Is this likely to have  
any impact on my old files if I do a fresh installation?
