Hi all,
With regard to uploading files through the network, silly question,
have you turned on personal file sharing under sharing in system
prefs? can you copy from the target location? have you enabled your
account's ftp features?

Hi rob, yes, I'd actually tried this, but for some reason, the
system isn't letting me select the particular file for upload. I
can't even navigate to it. I did save it to my desktop and can
locate it there, but for some reason, then, even when I am able
select it in the upload dialogue, the 'choose file' button is dimmed
out. aaarrrggg!!!
I'm betting this has something to do with permissions and such on
my system, but as yet, I can't figure out what the deal is. I'm
also having a bit of a time trying to upload it to my own ftp site,
where I'm getting the same sort of thing; with the paste option
being dimmed even though I obviously have permissions on the site,
to send files to it.
For other Mac users here, I did notice something in the general
system help about connecting / uploading to servers, which alludes
to an inability to send files, but I'm assuming that this is only if
the appropriate permissions aren't given?... It's a bit strange, as
the help file mentions that another program from the Apple site
might need to be used to send files. Kind of odd that I wouldn't be
able to simply connect through finder and copy / paste that way?...
yes?...
Any thoughts?...
Thanks muchly....
Smiles,
Cara :)

Hi Cara and list,
Might I suggest you upload the help file, zipped or mac
equivalent,
whatever that iis to
www.sendspace.com
The site is quite accessible, at least in Windows. After the file
uploads
you are presented with a link for download. If you could send that
link to
the list it would save you having to send out multiple copies.
Thanks for making this available. No pressure though. *grin*
