I've done that, too. Works just as well unless you're trying to access the Mac partition on your laptop from the windows partition on the same laptop.

So to clarify, you are looking for a way to have a Macintosh disk be seen in Windows, and that's why you want NTFS? The program you would want to use is called Macdrive. It will allow Windows to see your Mac journaled formatted disk, and write to it through Windows. I have used this software within Boot Camp to make the Mac part of my drive readable. That's probably the closest you'll come to interoperability. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of william lomas Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2007 6:48 PM To: General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind Subject: Re: ntfs hi that's the point though see. when i format it as mac os x extended journaled windows wont see it On 6 Nov 2007, at 23:19, David Poehlman wrote: > I wonder if you can format it as say mac extended journaled and then > when windows sees it, format it as ntfs? > > On Nov 6, 2007, at 6:10 PM, Josh de Lioncourt wrote: > > > You can't.
