I would like to know if anybody onlist has attempted (and hopefully accomplished) a dual boot system with Macosx and linux on a mac mini ppc. I've been looking at an article on installing debian on a powerpc; I'm pretty sure I can manage partitioning with Disk Utility and the reinstallation of Macosx; I think brltty should be on the debian installer. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell at boot when to enter the letter for the system into which you want to boot. Before I repartition and redo my whole system, I'd really like to hear from somebody else who has succeeded in doing this, preferably somebody who has had to use speech or braille. Otherwise I may have to decide whether or not I want to take the plunge.
I also know this is attemptable on an Intel mac mini, which I do not have at present, but the process on an intel is a bit different than on a ppc.
I suppose if I wanted to be cautious and not waste my time and energy, the first step would be to burn a debian netinst cd and try to boot it and see if I can start brltty. If that works, I'd then back out of the installer and proceed with repartitioning my system, etc.
If anybody has already done this, please let me know. Private replies are fine if this is too off-topic for the list.
