OK, the gmail is just really a jabber acount if you're doing it under ichat, even though it says googletalk. Then you have another jabber account under JAIM.AT. I don't know anything about .mac except to say that your assumption that it has anything to do with bonjur is incorrect. Why not just transfer the MSN gateway to your gmail account? You can have just one account, that's what jabber is all about. I don't know which service .mac is compatible with, but it might be AIM, in which case we could put that under your gmail account too.

How did I duplicate Jabber accounts? I have three accounts for my friends that has chosen different chat clients. I got dot Mac to try it out and now I am wondering why this account doesn't show up like MSN and G-Mail. Judging by your question I am missing something. It seems like I can have one account for all my friends. If so tell me which one and why you say this? I assumed that dot Mac would show up when I log into I Chat but it doesn't however because it automatically configures itself I can't fathom any server settings being misconfigured. I am still learning and would appreciate greatly if someone would help with what I should expect with dot Mac and I Chat.

Ester has given a good explanation, so unless you're on a LAN with other Apple computers you don't need to use that account. Your problem with the .mac account probably has something to do with incorrect log on information or perhaps incorrect security verification or something. Mind me asking why you're duplicating jabber accounts?

Can someone explain Bonjour to me. I got this from creating a dot Mac account in I Chat? Basically I now have 3 accounts for MSN G- Mail and now dot Mac. I have all three set up to log in automatically when I Chat is opened, but only two logged in and the dot Mac account didn't. I went to my window menu and didn't see the dot Mac account but I noticed this thing called Bonjour. I logged into it and it made the log in sound. I would assume that Bonjour is a dot Mac something but can't really grasp the concept. I also think I saw this in Skype. Can someone kindly explain this?
