This is why I use playlists to the extreme. I put almost everything in
one of about 10 playlists I have. Yes, I still have difficulty finding
certain artists if there is something I'm dying to hear. Still, I can
get quite specific with style of music by using playlists. I really
like them and can really do wonders with them now that iTunes is
largely accessible.

Agreed its doable, but unless you know your iTunes library like the
back of your hand or you don't mind surprises it might frustrate
you. I happily used ipods for years, tried out rockbox purely
because of the voice support, and that was my weapon of choice until
my ipod got stolen. Recently I tried out a classic, and it felt
like going back to a phone that doesn't talk or a computer with no
screen reader. Drove me insane that if I wanted a specific song I
had to zone in on it for want of a better expression. True
sometimes I found stuff I didn't even remember I had that way, but
if you're in a situation where you need to call something up in a
hurry, it sucks. This would be a lot less frustrating with a
smaller capacity pod though, a shuffle or a nano would probably
leave my sanity in tact, your milage may vary.
Just my 2 cents worth...

yeah, but it's kind of like driving a car with the lights off, we
can do it,
we cannot though do it as well as we can use the victor reader
stream for
instance.

I concur with what others have said. I have an 80GB iPod Classic
that
works quite well. It doesn't take long to master, only a little bit
of patience.

Hey guys,
What's the scoop on the ipods. Are any of them even usable other
than the ipod shuffle? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
