Hey Jed. I think before you get your ipod, you really want to get
yourself familiar with how itunes organizes music. When using itunes,
you don't have to think in terms of files and folders. Rather, you
think in terms of genre, artist and album. If you need to have music
in any different order, you can have playlists, and smart playlists.
Before itunes, I was a die hard winamp user, and played all my music
from windows explorer. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way.
Now though, I wouldn't want to go back. With the itunes browser
turned on, I can get to things much faster then I ever could before.
This was a relatively easy transition for me, because I've encoded the
majority of my music myself. Thus, it's properly tagged. If you've
downloaded most of your music, it's hard to say how well the tagging
was done.
But to answer your question, if you select all the files you want, and
then hit command o, itunes should import them all.

80s gold.
I would guess if i wanna put that on my itunes, i could go to that
drive, highlight the files in that folder, then open it or what?
I wanna do this the nice and simple way so they get on to my main
harddrive.
Any thoughts?
