could someone tell me how to turn curser tracking off i.e. to select a playlist in itunes. also do i need to turn it off for any other apps?

• You turn cursor tracking off temporarily by pressing VO+shift+3 and turn it back on with the same key combination.

• This is not needed specifically to select a playlist. When navigating with VO, the item that is read is by default selected unless you have changed things drastically in your VO navigation preferences. The purpose of turning off cursor tracking is to select multiple items that are not contiguous. That is, you wish to select item 5, 7 but not 6. Hope you understand. What you do to select non- contiguous items is turn cursor tracking off, then press VO-cmd+space bar to select any items. Once all the items you wish selected have been selected, you can Copy them, right click on them or whatever your purpose was of the multiple select.

HTH.

Later...

thanks

Keith
