In my experiance I can see my online contacts by setting the view to
the show / hide online contacts. I noticed a lag in the transfer of my
online contacts, but they did appear and I never had to enter them
manually. Even the Skype Out contacts. I don't even think it is a
Windows to Mac type of ordeal because when I switched from Windows to
the Mac I still had the same contacts. Write or Skype and we can talk
about it.

This mac is really different from windows for sure and it's
taking me a while to get used o the layout of everything.
Also, I still can't seem to read the messages from people on
adium. I can see who's available by clicking on the button next
to the available status of a client but I think there's got a
better way to do that from clicking on that button.
