Shaun,
Last spring, Digidesign issued a statement which you can read at
http://www.protoolspetition.org
Before the holidays, I requested an update to be published but haven't yet
heard anything. Although I was planning to attend the NAMM show to meet with
Digi, I'll not be able to attend. As for what's "in the pipes," as you put
it, I'm hoping Digidesign can answer your question. Nobody's hesitant at all
to say that there's currently no way to access Pro Tools on a Mac with
VoiceOver. That should be clear based on everything we've said up until now.
If you'd like, I'll gladly call you after my session's done, perhaps around
6 PM EST.

Josh, Rick and Jerry aren't you all friends. Birds of a feather flock
together. I think Cheryl said it best. If you don't want to clutter the
list then lets conference call. Lastly I will try it using Window Eyes
and see how it works. I am not saying to file a suit or anything of the
sourts. What I am saying is that we need accessibility and it is coming
slowly if not at all. What do you three have in the pipes for
accessibility for the Mac today? You can call and answer this question in
case you can't admit on list that the answer is nothing to date.

Your questions have been answered multiple times in this thread. You
can use it with WIndows. Not yet with Mac. As far as facts, you've
ignored most of them in this thread.
As someone who does hope to eventually use Pro Tools with VoiceOver, I
ask you, sincerely, don't undermine Slau and Rick's work by filing
misguided lawsuits.
I could bring up projects that I've spearheaded that have resulted in
employed blind individuals too, but it is irrelivant, and I don't feel
the need to boast.

Josh I didn't assume anything. Asides from the beta on Tiger that
appears to be very private the only access you guys have is Outspoken
which is outdated and Mac OS 9 which is 5 or 6 releases from Leopard. I
don't care about the money issue because my debit card works just fine.
To bring a end to this I want to know from you if I can use the copy I
purchased for my son or not. If so just say that and move on if not
then when. If no one on this list can answer that then allow me to try
something different. I haven't done anything counter productive if
anything I have produced results. If you care to hear about the results
ask Verizon how many blind people they now employ because of my
efforts. Blind people earning a living not waiting on a hand out. What
exactly is the current state of accessibility in Pro Tools for Tiger.
That is the question, now what is the answer? Not my grammer or
anything else just the facts.
