Hi all
hope you all dont mind me dropping a mail here lol but here is some good
news. some news that I hope might change things and open up a gateway to a non
monopolised software market lol.
Some stage today after a really hefty idea lol I decided to check out
steinberg and their apps. had chance to check out cubase 4. after a while of
scouring for contact I have finally managed to strike up dialogue with a few
guys
at yamaha today for which I'm pretty proud of lol.
there is the possibility that they will be in touch to discuss the case with
me at length. before I became blind in 2000 I was studying with Cubase VST
and wow I loved it. ok it needed a hardware key as a parralel port config on a
PC but wow I loved it. it had all the bits I wanted with it and at a nice
price lol
so after some self induced arguments with myself hahahaha I decided hey its
worth a try. and before anyone says anything I was very polite with them and
discussed in the email about different things happening in the blind
accessibility world with a centre focus on voice over and OS X Leopard.
highlighting some key needs with accessibility with Cubase included the need
to be able to access the main track pane windows, mixer and more, the
ability to receive information from faders and peak meters, editing audio and
midi
with in the application as well as with external hardware surfaces and
instruments etc. lets just say if cubase can work for us well lets just say
its a
little cheaper than logic and can offer a bit more lol not trying to sound
like a salesman lol.
anyhow if anyone wishes to put in any requests for what they would like to
see with accessibility in cubase then please either email me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) or call me on +44 (0)7857 352828
at any
time.
please note that I may be off line for a day or so due to sale of my laptop
for the new iMac but am sorting out a makeshift host for customer
management, list serves and more lol
take care all and may we enjoy this list as it was intended.
take care
lewy
