Actually Dinsey bought Pixar in 2006 for about $7.5 Billion.

With Steve's ownership of Pixar that made him now one of the largest shareholders in Disney. Also I vaugley recall in the DVD commentary in the extras on Cars that Lasseter, the creative guy behind Pixar, was fired from Disney mainly because he was stepping on toes for pushing computer animation. I guess he's crying al the way to the bank now.

What is Steve Jobb's connection to Pixar? What is Apples relationship with Pixar and Disney? I don't know - seems to me they are all playing the same game.

Steve Jobs co-founded Pixar, providing much of their financial backing and owns a healthy stake in the company. Pixar and Disney work together, and because of Jobs's heavy involvement in Pixar, he is on the board of directors of Disney.

Apple is not paying off record labels who try to say that iPods are primarily used for pirating music. That is Universal's stance, and that is why Microsoft pays them off. There's a famous quote from a Universal executive that went something like, "iPods are nothing more than a receptical for stolen content." Those two situations are totally different.
