Hi
Well, if you have it synching with your library, you can't delete from
one and not delete from the other. This is how synchronization works,
it's designed to keep them perfectly mirrored. If you want to only
synch certain things to the iPod, what you should probably do is make
a playlist and add anything you want synched to that playlist. Then
change the iPod's option to synch playlists instead of synch library.
