I haven't tried it out yet, but I understand that, depending on the
graphics cards you have, there is a promotion for iLife 8,
www.apple.com, to get complete information, and it's for DotMac
members who have a DotMac account. I thought iLife 8 came with the
10.5.2 update. I'm not sure of the correlation between Garage Band
and iLife 8. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.

Subject: Re: Garage band 08 is accessible. confirmed testing today
Lewis, I was going to try it out Sunday night when I have more time
off. I do have a MIDI keyboard--two of them, but I want to use the
built-in instruments and percussions for now, because I have no
cables, as yet. This is great news and my wife will be happy.

OK guys here is good news and I have confirmed this today with some
testing. yes garage band 08 works very well in fact perfectly with
voiceover. all panels and controls are navigateable and
interactable with voiceover. I have hooked up my studio synths to
garage band and tested it out. so yes gang there is some good news
on the horizon.
now as soon as I have chance I will be sorting out a copy of logic
studio 8 for work and will keep you updated. I encourage anyone to
please try this out and ask questions regarding this product and I
will do my best to assist you. it is however recommended that you
have a good midi controller keyboard or synth keyboard and maybe a
good control surface to perform good mixing and editing work.
