You should be fine with the update Dv. Yes you'll get VO when you use either FN Cmd F5 or just Cmd F5 dependning on whether you're using a laptop or not.

If you go to the Utility menu you'll find the option.

On the installation DvD there is an option within the utility to reset passwords. You'll hav to retart the computer and hold down the c key with disc in to run the installation application
