AGreed! To take both sides of this though, a friend of mine does
professional video editing / DVD authoring on a much slower machine
than an MB, and I myself, have also done photo editing with Photo Shop
on a slower machine as well. So it definitely can be done and
donehowever well / reasonably.
To Back up your point Shaun though, the extra processing power can
really be an asset quite a lot though, as processes that one might
never even imagine, (which have absolutely nothing to do with video
editing or such) can really swamp a processor, more than some might
think possible. Of course, most of this is dealt with by coders with
good coding practices, however a lot of what people think of as very
simple tasks can really add up.
Have an awesome day and rock on!…
Smiles,
Cara :)

Plus the more power you have the more applications you can run at

Hi all,
I ordered a 15 and a 17 inch 2.6ghz mac book pros with 200gb hd
drives and
4gb of ram. The 17 has that led display wow! It won't be here till
mid
march but the 15 which will be mine should be here by the end of the
week.
I completed the entire order on the web and everything was
accessible
although the actual macbook selection was a bit of a guessing game.
I did
it through windows though. The Next one I do will be on the Mac.
<giggle>
actually, I've made a purchase or two on the Mac.
