if you are talking windows, avg is good for antivirus and ad-aware is good for spyware. you can get avg from: http://www.avg.com and ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.com you can also link directly to their pages from: http://www.jfwlite.com saving you the trouble of fumbling through their sites.
