question on Itunes Library

Folks, seems I'm having a little senior minute with Itunes. What I'd  
really like to do is completely toss my entire Itunes library, put all  
my mp3 files including those I've already purchased from the Itunes  
Store into one folder, and have Itunes pull all it from that one  
location back into a new Library. I don't know if the consolidate  
library option would do some of this, but I had a load of duplicates I  
deleted and trying to get this library squared away is becoming a  
nightmare. Seems it's more work than it should be. I think it's just  
gotten a bit messy and so now has got to be straighten up.
