Microsoft Office 2008 - Finding Solution

One would think Microsoft would be more responsive ...  However, that  
doesn't seem to be the case - so I'm looking for a solution.  Iwork  
applications are not accessible either -in my experience.  At any  
rate, I'd like to encourage third party developers to make Mac  
applications more accessible.  To that end, does anyone know of an  
accessible spreadsheet application?  and , are there users of the Bean  
word processor?
