A.R. First of all, have you looked in your Trash mailbox? It's
probably still there and you can just copy it back to the
appropriate mailbox.
If not, you can retrieve it from Time Machine as follows:
• Go to the mailbox the message was in;
• Go to the Dock and open Time Machine;
• Use the Window Chooser (VO-F2 twice) to select the Controls, and
it will say "Time Machine Helper";
• Click on Previous;
• You will now be in the Inbox in the Mail image in Time machine;
• If this is not the mailbox you want, navigate left to the
Mailboxes table and select the one you do want, then stop
interacting with the table and go to the Messages table;
• Look for the message you deleted and if you fail to find it, use
the Window Chooser to select Controls again and click Previous
again. It tends to go back more than one backup each time;
• Having found the message you want, go back to Time Machine
Controls and click on Restore. The message will be placed in a
mailbox called Recovered Messages which will be inside a folder
called Time Machine. You will find this below all the mailboxes you
have defined yourself in the Mailboxes table.
• Move the message to where you want it. You will no longer be in
Time Machine but in Mail as usual.
Cheers,
Anne
