Well, I have decided to jump on the tutorial bandwagon, and with my initial training being in assistive technology instruction, I have put together my first tutorial. It will be uploaded late tomorrow night, as I am geting ready for bed. What is this about? Well, as many of you know, OpenOffice 3 Beta is now out, and it has a lot of accessibility improvements. In this first of what will hopefully become a series of podcasts, I give you an introduction to OOWriter and the Open Office main window. I talk about the various file formats that you can save in, take you through navigating the main window, and show you how to create a document and type in it. I also warn you about some things to watch out for. Warning: your results may be different from mine, as this is a beta. I explain an example of VO acting differently in two different situations in Writer. I also talk about the history of OpenOffice and how it got to what it is today. Just a little tidbit of what to expect tomorrow night. You all will get a notification when it's uploaded.
