Well, I don't know about anyone else posting about this method,
but you did about a month ago (smile. I expect that's where Jane
saw this.

Listers if you've ever had the need to open multiple instances of an
application like I Tunes or something you can use the below Terminal command to
enable this.
open -n /Applications/Mail.app
Just substitute mail for the desired application.
