Right. Once you're running the virtual machine it's like a new pc with a
blank hard drive. What happens from there depends on what you're doing
next but in general Windows XP installs don't have any audio cues as to
what's going on. I'm assuming the Fusion people provide a pre-installed
XP image of some sort but I can't imagine that is free. At least,
somewhere you'll have to put in an XP license key.

Setup stuff doesn't seem to be very accessible but once it's running
the start and stop stuff is in the menus. It does let me tab around
and control the setup via the keyboard but VO was more or less
silent. Anyway, it costs nothing to give it a whirl.
