I have shared my homedirectory of my account on my macbook to my windows
laptop with success.
No, I have some problems with permissions and groups...
there is one folderstructure on my mac that I can access from my windows
laptop with the following permissions:
drwx-rx-rx william staff or 755
on my windows-machine , I am william
but, the folders that I can't open from my laptop have the following
permissions:
drwx------ william staff
this means that only the user william can open and read and write this
folder.
Where can I change permissions and group-ownerships?
also , where can I sett which attributies a new created folder or file
should have?
I know of linux that you can use chmod for permissions and chown for
group-attributes but , herhaps is there a more user-friendly interface to do
this?
Also, where can I see wich user is connected with my mac?
Anyway, is this not dangerous for the system?
