Hi John and Others, I'm copying an old post of instructions on how to allocate storage space for your dot Mac account:
Hi Gordon and Others, Yes, you can reallocate the space on your dot Mac account, but there are unlabeled buttons on the Account page that you need to use for changing your settings. After you log in to dot Mac use item chooser to find "Account" - either the text or image link will work. Choose and press one of these links to go to the page with your account settings. You need to log in again as a security measure to protect your account information. To avoid navigating the links Apple puts on each of their pages, search for "text" in item chooser and select the second entry, which should have your dot mac username, and return. Then tab and type in your password where you hear "edit secure text" and return. (Amended: now I just tab twice to get to the entry that has my dot Mac username, return, and tab to the field for entering my password -- I don't bother to use item chooser and search for "text".) You'll be logged into your Account page. This is the page that has your current storage settings and the unlabeled button you need to press to change them. Use item chooser for "Account" to skip over the Apple links. You'll get a summary of your current storage settings, but they'll be repeated on the page where you change the settings. Just after you hear "Storage" VO-keys+right arrow will take you to your first unlabeled "link image" button. If you VO-keys down arrow from this point there will be a total of 6 unlabeled "link image" buttons. The first is general personal information, the second is credit card information, and the third is password. Four is for a personal web domain with iWeb (which I think is not accessible), Five is the button you want to change storage settings, and Six is for your dot Mac mail preferences. VO-keys+space on the fifth unlabeled button takes you to your storage settings. Use item chooser to find "Storage Settings". You'll be told your allocated and used space for iDisk and dot Mac mail. (If you want to skip the description of how you can set your allocation by changing your dot Mac Mail space allocation and have the remaining space go to your iDisk, just put "iDisk" into item chooser and VO-keys right arrow. You'll get used space, and allocated space.) The next entry will be for dot Mac Mail, but the dot Mac Mail allocation is on a popup button. Gordon could set the popup button allocation for dot Mac Mail to 1400 MB (1.4 GB) and have the remainder of his 30 GB for his iDisk. There's a summary of total space allocated, total in use, and total remaining space. Carriage return to save the settings or VO-keys right arrow to the (unlabeled) buttons for cancel and save at the end.
