Hey all,
the problem with mobile phones and also the iPhone is the limited
memory. An accessibility program takes up a lot of space, mainly because
of the speech synthesicer. Probably sighted people who bought an iPhone
and see that some disk space they could use for music, videos and so on
is not available because of a screen reader they'd would probably freak
out. So, if Apple produces some accessibility app, they will probably
offer it separately. Anyway, I prefer to stay with my Nokia N82 and
Talks since this way of accessing mobile phones exists for a few years
now and is really being pushed forward at the moment, just think about
Wayfinder Access and the upcoming KNFB Reader... But if some people here
would want an iPhone, I could understand that very well! I also love Mac
OS because it's accessible out of the box, stable and Unix based (I
really like the BASH, hehe).
