Hi, 

I'm running Safari mail for o/s Leopard 10.54. 
I'm just getting started with the Mac and tried setting up my pop account. 
I go in follow the instructions as to email type of server password etc and 
create the account. 
I click advance and set the port to493 as my mail providers instructions tell 
me. 
I can then download email once. 
After logging out of Mail, then logging back in, the mail doctor tells me I'm 
connected to the web but it can't connect to my  mail providers server. 
I called my isp provider and they say all my mail settings are correct as far 
as they can tell so I therefore wonder if anyone else has experienced similar. 
My isp is Sky here in the u.k and they partner with google mail if that is any 
kind of clue.
