Diskdrive Mode and Mac OS

Hello,

I have a Levelstar Icon connected to a USB port on my I-Mac, and the  
icon in Diskdrive Mode.  The icon reports Diskdrive Mode ready.  I  
cannot find this external drive on the Mac desktop.  Am I missing some  
Voice-over basic, or, is the Icon not recognized by Mac OS as an  
external drive when in Diskdrive Mode?
