I disagree highly. All of the air apps are completely awful in every aspect but tons and tons of fairly useless features: how many people do you know use twitter, friendfeed, identi.ca, pownce, jaiku and plurk at the same time? I don't know any that use more than one, truth be told. And even if they use more than one they usually end up crossposting anyway. The inaccessibility is one matter, but almost none of those apps are worth using.
