Thanks, I heard about Quick Silver and wanted to know if it was
accessible since it went open source last year.

Does anyone know of a tagging application for files besides using
the Spotlight comments section in Get Info?
Hi
there are actually quite a few of those. For a start, Quicksilver
can do it, if you're already using that.
A quick search on Macupdate brings up tagfolders, tagbot and Punakea
in just the first page of results, and they're just the obvious ones.
Unfortunately, though, I haven't actually tried any of them, except
for the fact that I'm using Quicksilver, though not its tagging
abilities. More unfortunately, I'm not in a bandwidth situation that
lets me download much, so I can't do any trials for you. So unless
anyone else pipes up, your best bet is probably going to be the old,
search on macupdate or version tracker or something, download the
ones that look good and try them out.
I'd be kind of interested in knowing what you end up using.
