Some good news today:
VueScan for Mac ( http://www.hamrick.com ) is now 100% compatible with
VoiceOver.
Ed Hamrick has re-released 8.4.82 and included full Voiceover access.
No more "unknown" items, or items you have to interact with to get
started. I use this app for all kind of picture and document/OCR
scanning.
