As Marc mentioned: "This tool was developed for Firefox because the extensibility mechanism was easy for us to use, and because of the openness of the platform accessibility solution, which is beneficial to our users and affords us maximum future flexibility."

Safari doesn't have an official extension mechanism, let alone an easy to use one.

Some WebKit-based browsers (iCab for example) allow user JavaScript; I don't know how much WebVisum functionality could be implemented using that alone.
