Hi Andrew,

If you are using VoiceOver together with Zoom mode, how do you have
your navigation set? When you bring up the VoiceOver utility with
VO-keys+F8 and select Navigation in the sidebar, do you have the
box for "Mouse Cursor Follows VoiceOver Cursor" checked? You
might want to have both this box, and "VoiceOver Cursor Follows
Mouse Cursor" checked.

The region of the Screen displayed in Zoomed mode is centered on
your mouse cursor, and will move as you move that cursor. For the
default setting in VoiceOver your mouse cursor will NOT move as
you move your VoiceOver cursor. Blind VoiceOver users often choose
to leave mouse cursor tracking off, and only command a move of the
mouse cursor to the position of the VoiceOver cursor (with VO-keys+
Command-F5) in order to click a link, etc.

You need to have your mouse cursor and VoiceOver cursor tracking
both turned on, I think. There are also options to turn on cursor
magnification in the Universal Access menu under System Preferences.
I'm reminded that many of these status features will be summarized
if you check the box to "Show Universal Access Status in Menu Bar"
on the submenus for the Universal Access menu.

Hope this helps. Maybe Luke can advise you about settings.

Cheers,

Esther

What do you mean it doesn't go full screen? I use magnification on my
MacBook pro regularly, and it uses full screen, with no issues at
all.

I can only get it to Magnify the bar at the bottom of the screen, which can
be moved Left or Right. I turn it on from the Doc.

Any info appreciated.

All the best
