Whooo, yeah. Good point, I didn't even think about that. I kind a wonder
if that could also be why the sign in issue is occuring that I'm having.
Maybe the servers on their ends are just totally birding out from so much
conjestion.
Chris.

Hi All,
I think the reason the iTunes Store connection is slow, is that today is
the first day people can get the software update for the iPhone. You
have to connect to the iTunes Store in order to load this on your
iPhone. There were some articles asking why, if the iTouch and the
iPhone had the same software update the iTouch updates were available
just after the Apple event earlier this week, while the iPhone updates
wouldn't be available until today (Friday). One response was that Apple
was likely trying to distribute the load, because the last time a major
iPhone update became available it brought the iTunes Store to its knees.
I used to find that going in to browse specific items, like podcasts,
through the power search menu links, worked quite well when the rest of
the store was busy. Here's the old podcast power search link if you want
to try that instead:

Cheers,

Hello,
I downloaded a movie and it was really slow and I have a 6 MB
connection. I also downloaded some items from iTunes U and the same
thing, things were slower than normal. I did a speed test and
everything was working normally. Perhaps the iTunes servers are
experiencing high volumes of traffic.
