When I left the 4G Nano attached to the  MacBook (ejected after the  
sync, but still connected via USB cable to charge), as I was typing up  
notes about usage.  I heard "Charging" through the earphones, and then  
later on "Charged".   I didn't touch any of the menus to the Nano,  
since at that time I was actually not playing the 4G iPod -- just had  
the earrbuds in while I was still working on the Macbook.
