They're not making a mistake, actually. I too use an iPod Classic and have the vast majority of my music collection on it. But Apple isn't phasing out the Classic yet. It'll be around for at least another year, and maybe two, while Flash memory catches up. And the fact is, that most people don't put their entire music collection on their iPod. The fact that the Nano is outselling the other iPod models overwhelmingly is a clear sign of that. We'll have the hard-disk models until flash memory catches up, which won't be long. Two years max I think.
