So, this is a pretty stupid question but do they offer the tracks with DRM still if the same one at the same price is available without it? Again, stupid question but I wonder.

Scott,

iTunes+, the DRM free tracks on iTunes, used to be thirty cents more, but are now priced the same as the DRM'd tracks. If it is available DRM free, you'll get it that way for $0.99 per song, and at twice the KbPS as DRM tracks.

Esther, you are so dang smart, got one for ya. I might be nuts cause I spent a fair bit of time mucking about in the store. I know that iTunes does offer some DRM-free content for a dollar more per track. What I'm not sure of is if there is a way to either search for this in particular or a way to tell what is DRM-free. Have you any experience with this? I thought I had run across a Red Hot Chili Peppers album that was DRM-free, but then I just wasn't sure and the cost of the tracks seemed to indicate they were not, but there was an option to purchase such a version. Huh, well I again couldn't figure out if I were imagining this or what. And if I recall, I thought there was a way to turn on an option for having the ability to purchase the DRM-free stuff. I think it was called iTunes Plus.

tnx
