Hi I use beamer with LaTeX.  If you're not a code head though, I'm not  
sure what other relyable package there is at this time.  Open office  
is becoming accessible and it has a presentation package.  Maybe you  
should download the latest beta and start writing them bug reports for  
the presentation package.
