Yes, it should work regardless of where you are. I haven't found where it wouldn't, but it doesn't mean there isn't a site that simply won't let you download something by control clicking on it. I ran into this once, but can't recall what site that was.
You got lots of good advice so that should give you options

Hey thanks you are a life saver. I followed your steps, and it worked twice in a row. I guess its just one of those things a former jaws user has to get used to. But I'm learning. So, will this also work with photo links and video links? One of the things that would help me a lot is if I could go to people's websites and download their photos or videos so they don't have to send them to me to get their add posted. For example there is a company in australia that has a ride for sale called a mega mix. they have video of it on their site which I know I could just link to my site; but I prefer to keep people on my site once I get them there. lol Hope this isn't telling how to build a car when I'm just wanting to know how to drive. sorry for the long rambling. but it would be a big help if this same set of steps would also work for that. Thanks again. Max

What I did is the following.

1. Locate the file name that I'm interested in.
2. Route the mouse pointer by VO-keys+command+f5.
3. Verify with VO-keys+f5.
4. Hold down control and press the mouse key on the track pad.
6. You are presented with a dialog where you can choose the option for downloading the file, playing in iTunes, etc.
I tried it here and it worked just fine.

Hello; that brings up the regular menues which also come up if you do control-option-m. My specific problem is www.fearyoucanhear.com where I can download radio shows for free. When I do this, it won't get me to the save target as like you get when doing a right click on a windows machine. No matter what I do, I can't download the shows. All I can do is play them while online or save a html that can only be run with an internet connection. I've been using a paid service at www.vintageradioshows,com because I can actually download the shows there. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Max

Subject: keyboard question

Hello list members; I have a macbook that I bought in may of this
year. Is there some way to do the equivelant of a right mouse click
on this keyboard? I haven't been able to find anything about it on
apple's support page. And several different apple employees have told me it isn't possible, that I would need to buy a mouse to do this. I don't really want to have to carry a mouse around with me if I don't
have to, so is this the case or not? Hope someone out there can
help. Thank you, Max
