Hi Jacob,

You might consider the  EDIROL UA-25.  It is a really nice USB card and it
has Mac and windows drivers.  Read a review of it here:

I am running one of these cards and for what I need, it is great.  It
certainly supports true surround sound but it only has optical.  No coaxial
connections unfortunately.
