On taking a closer look with the Apple Accessibility Verifier (part of
their free developer tools) I opened Open Office Writer with a blank
document and inserted a single empty 4x8 table. In this state the
verifier found 73 warnings and 59 errors. Included in this list were
several attributes which were missing related to the Table. These include
AXRows
AXSelectedColumns
AXHeader
AXColumns
AXVisibleRows
AXSelectedRows
AXVisibleColumns
So if these are missing and should be there then it's no wonder VO can't
work with the table.

I was hoping I could interact with the table to navigate around and
