I was also wondering whether it was a battery calibration issue, as
David suggests. Have you actually run your MacBook until the battery
is drained? The calibration affects the accuracy of the reported time
estimate -- that is, you are relying on the displayed time remaining
for your battery usage being accurate estimate of how much time is
really left, and it may not be. You could actually have more running
time than is being reported. Apple recommends that you calibrate your
battery when you first get your laptop, but also subsequently. Here's
